All employers must ensure that computer workstations conform to the standards of comfort and safety as laid down in the regulations issued by the European Union and the UK Health and Safety Executive.  Good design, training and consultation can prevent all known health problems associated with VDU work.  The purpose of this Workshop is to give advice on how workstations and screens can be made more comfortable and easy to use.  Participants will gain an understanding of the most common issues regarding Display Screen Equipment and health.  The Workshop provides practical guidance on how problems can be avoided by good workplace and job design and by the way a VDU and workstation is used, together with how to carry out a Display Screen Equipment Assessment.  As part of the workshop, delegates will carry out a practical DSE assessment at a workstation.</p>
